Rector of the Swiss School of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management (Swiss SASEM), Dominic Jordan, visited Satbayev University in Almaty for a high-level meeting with Rector Meiram Begentayev and President of the Free Educational Zone "Abai", Mr. Meir Yeskendirov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for academic cooperation in the field of business education. Swiss SASEM, headquartered in Lausanne with campuses in Lausanne, Sierre, and international branches in Kazakhstan, France, and Portugal, has an established track record of successful collaboration with Kazakh universities. Rector Jordan highlighted ongoing partnerships in the Abai region with institutions such as Shakarim University, Alikhan Bokeikhan University, and Semey Medical University, particularly in the areas of dual-degree programs and the transfer of Swiss expertise in business education.

As a result of the meeting, Swiss SASEM and Satbayev University agreed to pursue closer international cooperation. Planned initiatives include student exchange within academic mobility programs, faculty internships, and the development of a joint double-degree program in Business Administration, in partnership with the Project Management Institute.

"We are committed to expanding our network of international partners," said Rector Begentayev. "With our experience in implementing global education programs, we are ready to take quick action to launch a student exchange program as early as 2025."
